HS2 Supply Chain Boom in Birmingham

Business leaders in Birmingham said today that it was vital the “bigger picture” was kept in focus in the face of speculation on the cost of HS2.

The comments, by Paul Faulkner, chief executive of Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC), follow publication in Leeds of HS2’s annual report.

“Looking ahead, the project will create over 100,000 jobs locally and unlock over a billion pounds worth of investment in our transport networks across the region – all of which points to better connectivity and ultimately higher productivity levels”.
